How long after Botox can I sleep on my side? That’s one of the most common questions patients ask. Your sleeping position matters because it can influence the settlement of the Botox on your treated muscles – especially during the first few hours of your treatment.


This guide will help you understand why sleeping position is important and what are the dos and don’ts that you need to follow so you can recover easily and get the best results.


 


Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A. It is both used aesthetically and medically.It is usually used to treat those fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing the muscles, creating a smoother, more refreshed appearance. The most common areas you can get Botox are your forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, jaw (masseter), and neck.


 


Once Botox is injected, the nerve signals that tell the muscles to contract are blocked. This will reduce the activity of your muscles, making the surface of your skin smooth.
