Use of lasers - the facts

The FOTONA laser uses a unique non-ablative, non-invasive Erbium:YAG SMOOTH® mode which has been shown to be safe and effective for women affected by consequences of life events like vaginal delivery of a baby and menopause. This quick procedure is out after an application of a numbing cream or cooling. The number of treatments depends on the severity of the condition and can range between 1-3 sessions at one month apart.

Pearly penile papules are harmless tiny projections around the head of the penis often mistaken for warts. They are not contagious and do not require treatment which is usually only done for cosmetic reasons.

Seborrheic keratosis is benign, non-cancerous skin growth common in older adults. It is advisable to exclude skin cancer before having them removed. They have an oval shape, surface and may be itchy. They are treated for cosmetic reasons or if they become troublesome because of rubbing, bleeding or skin irritation. options include freezing (cryotherapy), curettage, electrocautery or laser ablation.

Sebaceous cysts are benign, slow growing cystic lesions commonly found on the skin of scalp, face, neck, torso or genitalia and become uncomfortable. They form in sebaceous glands which produce sebum (oil) when they become blocked usually after some trauma like a scratch, a surgical wound or acne. Treatment is for cosmetic reasons and includes draining, surgical excision or laser ablation. Cysts which are not excised may reoccur.

Angiokeratoma is a small, dark, red vascular skin lesion caused by dilatation of tiny blood vessels. They can occur anywhere on the body including intimate areas. Treatment is for cosmetic reasons and includes freezing (cryotherapy), electrocautery or laser treatment.

The Priapus-Shot or P-Shot® is named after Priapus, the god of fertility in Greek mythology. He was known for his sizable penis and permanent erection. About % of men experience erectile at some stage of their lives. The is a natural, non-surgical treatment for men using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) which is injected into the penis to improve its size, an erection and sexual satisfaction. The procedure involves the collection of blood into special sterile tubes and centrifugation of them to separate red blood cells from a plasma which is rich in platelets. This PRP is subsequently injected into the penis using a five point injection technique after an application of a numbing cream to minimise discomfort. The entire treatment takes between 30 minutes to an hour from start to finish. Most people who have the treatment see an immediate increase in size directly after the procedure followed by a slight decrease in size over the next few days as the injected fluid is absorbed by the body. As new tissue growth is stimulated over the next weeks, volume will increase again. It is recommended to use a vacuum pump after the P-Shot® procedure for better outcome. The Orgasm-Shot® or O-Shot® is a non-invasive, vaginal and clitoral rejuvenation treatment which uses an individuals blood to extract Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) which releases healing growth factors after being injected into the vulvo-vaginal walls to enhance orgasm and sexual satisfaction.

The O-Shot procedure involves obtaining a blood sample from a treated individual and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate red blood cells from plasma rich in platelets and growth factors which stimulate stem cells tissue repair and regeneration. Tissues that have thinned with age, such as vaginal tissue, become rejuvenated and thicker due to increased blood flow to the erogenous areas.

The female genital organs are not immune to ageing process.
